American Navy kills 3 Indian Sailors
After Rubio visited India, I wondered how long it would take to ruin the positive vibes from a possible future American President. Rubio, to me at least, is best known for telling Trump “It’s bullshit” when asked about Netanyahu’s Situation Room presentation. He may have other more popular one liner but I am a man of limited appetites. Central African Republique can be shortened to CAR. Car can be expanded in Carnality. Karnatak is something else. So is natak. Nautanki is yet another form of differentiation.
Few days. That’s all it took. A tanker named Settebello off Oman was fired upon after failing to heed the American Navy’s clear and explicit warnings to stop from navigating through Hormuz. So the Navy sailors fired at the engine room and killed 3 Indian sailors that were flying under the flag of Palau. 21 other Indian sailors were rescued by the Navy of Oman. US Navy also hit another Palau-flagged oil tanker the Marivex on Monday but once again the crew was rescued. On Thursday, India’s embassy in Oman said in another incident, the Jalaveer, was hit by 2 Hellfire missiles and the Guinea-Bissau flagged tanker caught fire. The crew had to be rescued. It’s real location was off Oman while its spoofed location was off the coast of Africa. Also all India crew. India apparently supplies 230,000 merchant marine sailors to other countries.
In total about 9 ships were disabled by the American Navy. Arsenio Dominguez of the International Maritime Organization said it was “simply unacceptable.” “I strongly condemn any act from any party that endangers the lives of seafarers and the safety of international shipping.”
US Central Command said it disabled the Settebello by firing “precision munitions into the ship’s engine room after the crew repeatedly failed to comply with direction from American forces.”
Meanwhile on Wednesday Trump called Modi to congratulate him on being India’s longest serving PM.
Strange wording there CENT. “From the American forces” almost as if you are not part of the “American forces”. Could have used “us”. Or “failed to comply with our direction”.
If I didn’t know better it almost sounds like at the next Quad naval exercise you want the allies to know what’s what. Quad is where the navies of America, Australia, India and Japan practice together often in the Indian Ocean.
It’s one thing to kill innocent fishermen who Jesus might have recruited. Or not, cause some of them were genuine drug smugglers I am guessing.
I don’t get this: why exactly is America imposing a blockade and killing Indian sailors? Because an insane man told you to. And you followed his orders and killed 3 sailors? Then again, you fired on a water infrastructure facility in Iran because he told you to and therefore committed an actual war crime.
Don’t worry, no one will prosecute you at The Hague. After all, you’re Americans. I am simply wondering at the logic of your following orders of an insane man. That’s all. Carry on.
