Attraction and Repulsion.

You knew it. Somewhere deep down in your little heart you knew that one day this blog would descend into the vulgar. This is it. This is that blog post you’ve been waiting for. I knew it, you said. Well you were right. I type lol when someone within me figures out the codes I am typing, some are just straight up movie references in two different blog posts. Snippets of dialogue. A precise cut and paste like a CRISPR operation only with better scissors.

There is also a little game we play. I type something like a move in chess. And the person inside me decides what tiny change to make and where. Sometimes all they add is a comma. Sometimes a semi, other times an extra space and yet other times not much. Sometimes Squarespace joins in the fun since they own the board. And yet the message remains symbolic or not. Our outcomes are binary yet we have 10 fingers. (Changing “All” to “Our” really changes the meaning). How can a classical jazz piece be binary? she asks. It either exists or it does not, he replies without a thought. Well that’s reductionist and existentialist at the same time. Non madame, it’s only one of those.

I took a picture of the post because they often change after I have posted it or a few days later. Yet I can’t actually go back and read the changes. Too much to do I’m afraid. I post a copious and an odious amount of material daily. Like a factory that never stops churning. And then some of you add your own little perception changes. Everyone’s eyes skip a whole paragraph or a word. Sometimes an intimate dialogue is added that I hear. The standard stuff I hear and have been hearing for a long time now is “It’s chaos out there, bro” or some version of it like a visitor from the future in Tenet. Mostly it’s just insane laughter.

Some of you have been reading up on Quantum Entanglement. How do particles get entangled? And what does it mean when they get entangled? Is it like finding a soul mate? It’s more like finding a prison cell mate. If you push two particles that attract into a tight field or do the same to two particles that repel and you get the same outcomes. Are you repelled by someone yet can’t stop writing about them? You might be entangled. The reverse is also true. Einstein just flat out denied it. What really bugged Einstein was the idea that distance lost meaning. The math was there, it was undeniable yet he couldn’t accept it.

The fact that distance loses meaning between entangled particles implies that there is no space. Whatever happens to one happens to the other instantly. With the opposite spin sometimes but happens without any distance of time. You want me to say “without any separation in time” or “without any separation of time”. Because then distance means separation. And the best part is these jokes are embedded into our very quantumness. It’s almost a Dad joke. Like Joseph saying “Mary wait till Jesus finds out what I’ve done.”

I bet you learning physics or teaching it was never this entertaining or easy. Quantum physics is truly not logical. At least not based on our current understanding of the world and the universe. Take superposition. The particles are in a sort of area of probability and haven’t made up their minds. Then the observer arrives and they all say okay fine, I am here. The incredibly strange thing is on earth we all are observers AND we all coalesce the particles the same way. And therefore when I see a mountain then I rely on it that you also see a mountain. You don’t see a valley. And that may be why we have water.

The medieval Mont-Saint-Michel abbey in Normandy, France, is famous for its dramatic reflections. At high tide, powerful Channel currents surround the mount, creating a mirror effect that makes the towering Gothic spires appear as though they are floating above the water. [1234]

How to Experience the Reflection

  • High Tide: When the tide rolls in, the water levels rise and submerge the surrounding causeway, creating a perfect, calm watery mirror that reflects the abbey. [123]

  • Low Tide: As the water recedes, you can catch distinct reflections in the shallow puddles and pools left behind on the expansive surrounding mudflats. [123]

  • The Bridge: Visitors generally approach the abbey via the modern, arcing pedestrian bridge, which is designed to let water flow freely to preserve the island's watery surroundings. [1]

Important Safety Tips

  • Fast Tides: The tides in the bay can rise incredibly fast—often compared to "galloping horses"—making the surrounding sands dangerous if you attempt to cross them without a designated path.
