Capitalism’s grip on children.
Feeling left out, The New York Times waved a white flag and provided an tiny font article on their front page that ended with… here are the links to all the Epstein reporting we have done. Don’t ignore us, please don’t. Just don’t. You don’t understand what your mentions mean to us. We, the poor reporters, who work so assiduously under our editors thumbs…
They have done a lot of research… and unless someone has circled an article to discuss, an average Joe could just look at the sheer number of Epstein related articles and decide not to read any of them. Sometimes the surfeit of articles is the point. How do you drown a reader into a deliberate sort of … yeah I know… it’s Epstein… pedophile… top people involved… no one prosecuted… so what? An editor’s responsibility is also curation. What to publish is as important, if not more, than when to publish. If you had an article that damned the F.B.I. for example, you ought to wait until the FBI did something terrible. Like not prosecute anyone for the Great Financial Crash… and then place this article next to it.
In housekeeping notes, I was woken up by people from airline ticketing service — operators who were upset that I didn’t mention them in the post about Epstein Capitalism. You mentioned everyone else… before these underage girls went anywhere in the airport and in flights, they first arrived to the ticket counters… Well done.. you noted the gaping hole in the matrix.
In that post I had also mentioned the people who recruited these girls, an entire network of recruiters and other sorts of influencers. One of those recruiters died unexpectedly before he could be questioned. In better news, there are more such recruiters. A lot more. The alleged thread is there… and it’s not very complicated. It doesn’t involve 9 guys from Saudi Arabia who learned how to fly airplanes in America while Israeli intelligence allegedly watched them.
Wexner (billionaire class) —> Victoria Secret —> Epstein —> Recruiters for Victoria’s Secret —> young underage girls.
Is that what it is? I am suffering from systemic disillusionment? Is my existential angst gone now? The various stages of a person inside a system, I am guessing.
In other children’s news, Time magazine has an article on online pedophilia from Thailand. Apparently 500,000 little children from Thailand are being viewed by people online using streaming technology from social media and OnlyFans.
Even without looking, I know you’re thinking about child labor in the various parts of the world that is not sexual. I could ask an AI to research it for me. I could create a big report and even do a PODCAST about it with Alex and Jordan. Even without looking, you know it exists and it’s probably true. Do you not? Then what’s the point of doing the research and asking for an AI to provide the proof? You already know it’s there, it’s systemic, there are millions of children who will not have childhoods, who will grow up in grinding poverty etc. Some of them may not have enough food to eat and may never had enough food security.
I typed all that without research. Here’s the question though, and it’s a deeply personal and moral one. If you know this is true, deep in your heart, without looking at the internet for confirmation, why have you not done anything about it?
Why are the front pages not demanding resolution every single day? Instead why do they show the same idiotic and psychopathic faces everyday?
All the news that’s fit to print ought to mean something no?
After reading this, can you truly look at your conscience and say, yes what we printed about Trump means something? You print about him everyday. Aren’t your readers tired of it? Clearly not, we all suffer from that selective amnesia that allows us to ignore the suffering of children. It’s the same amnesia that finds empathy to be so sodden, so tragic, so inappropriate for adults that it will quash those articles or hide them in Page 4 or 5.
A different way, a more personal way to state it is the following: If Sentient Musings has say 1 million readers… far less than the New York Times, still it has a voice, it must be considered. Why? Because these are not readers who are uneducated. These are readers who appreciate nuance. And therefore it must be paid attention to. While a child laboring in Thailand doesn’t matter because they’re children and they will never be fully educated. In other words, they won’t matter. For the System to care, you the reader, has to be someone who sees the cage.
Therein lies complicity and dangerous terrain of asking wrong questions. Am I accusing you of anything like misusing your publicly given Freedom of Speech protection? Of course not, I am not a lawyer. Or a judge. I am simply asking, as a human, what are your priorities? You should think about them now, rather than wait till you’re 95 or 100, say a few decades from now and then all these decisions crash down on you. The world will have moved on… editors will be stuck… on Trump. Perhaps that is final cosmic justice — on earth.
