How much wages do you get?
I have started to read my first Karl Marx book ever. It’s a slim edition at 62 pages: Wage-Labour and Capital. It’s slimmer than Marcus Aurelius and Meditations. The title is how he starts Chapter II. Apparently according to him the subjugation of the working class was achieved in February and March of 1848 by the crushing of the French Revolution and the other revolutions that had emerged worldwide. Europe fell back into its old double slavery, into the English-Russian slavery. The June conflict in Paris, the fall of Vienna, the tragicomedy in Berlin, in Hungary, the starvation of Ireland into submission—these were the chief events….
And I thought the Irish famine was simply a work of nature… Things happen, only potato chips are available pal. The fish is optional. And unaffordable.
The British have used famine elsewhere. Bengal for instance during World War II by an order sent via Churchill. I don’t blame Churchill anymore. In fact it’s a bit silly to blame anyone visibly in power or money. The true control lies in Control behind power and behind money. Those people are almost always invisible, in the sense of not being in the public’s eye. Like owls not easily visible even in daylight, let alone at night.
I knew about the crushing of the French Revolution… I never knew there were other adjacent revolutions of the working class. Did they ever teach you that in high school? Or college? Or in movies? That’s why I suspect the Pope counsels patience. And this site must not be discussed openly although you can if you wanted to. Truth and Trust have no value. Think for yourself. Why do I have to finally open Marx to learn about history? Marx was not a historian, he was an economist. We’ve been spoon fed a very specific version of history in schools. By implication and inference ALL the teachers who work in schools are part of the System. Is that a false statement? Possibly, some might have been forced into it through fear. Think about how long it took for open discourse about Israel’s stranglehold on American politics to emerge on YouTube, inspite of all the wars America has fought for Israel. All those body bags that came back from Iraq and now from Iran at Dover. All the wounded who are on disability for those wars. Yet the surface level conspiracy theory centered around oil. It’s about oil, say these Gold Star parents. Yes but only at the surface.
I mention the American dead because that’s the most visible symbol of the System. There are possibly millions dead in Iraq. Certainly thousands now in Iran. And wars like Libya and Syria where American troops were involved but not much is known in the public eye or headlines unless you follow the casualty counts very carefully. Lindsay gets a stateside royal funeral, a six day lowered Flag at half mast, Netanyahu attends, while the American dead are barely mentioned. It’s in the juxtaposition when presented carefully that the System reveals itself.

I love my Chevrolet Bolt. I am not a car guy although I have owned several cars. I couldn’t tell you a rod from a piston. It’s like sports discussions, you get guys to discuss cars and I tune out. I used to live near a dirt track and the noise on Saturday afternoon would irritate me. Some people are avid fans of race tracks. I am not although there was a time when I liked a car that could go fast. I also thought incessantly about sky diving but only ever did it once from 15K feet. I have never ridden a bull either in a rodeo, although I did go to see the Grandfather of them all in Wyoming. I have also gone hand gliding once. And parasailing once. And rappelling twice. I have done zip lining a few times. I have never gone bungee jumping. I think people in a glide suit are insane.
The Bolt is all electric and is relatively affordable, especially if you buy it slightly used (1 or 2 yrs). I learned that trick a long time ago in a book. Buy a slightly used car… the new car smell is gone and it depreciates fastest in the first year. 35K to 23K just like that. Still the same car if it’s been taken care of. And if you’re lucky enough to have a parking garage, many of them have charging outlets to plug in. The owner of the Bolt left behind an interesting charger, I can plug it into any electrical socket. It doesn’t need a specialized charger. Yet such chargers are not widely available, nor are public electric outlets. The System forces you to charge at charging stations. An economy of abundance would mean the ability to charge for free or almost free at an outlet. Imagine that, for the average working person: no cost for transportation fuel. It’s possible, has been possible, since nuclear power was invented. America gave Iran a small modular nuclear reactor that still exists in Tehran. Yet the Iran War is about Iran not having nukes. Ain’t that funny? I think it’s fuckin’ funny especially for the 18 dead Americans.
Yes, that is historically accurate. As part of President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s "Atoms for Peace" initiative, the United States provided Iran with a small nuclear research reactor in 1967. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Here are the specific details of that transfer:
The Reactor: The U.S. provided a 5-megawatt thermal, pool-type light water research reactor.
Location: It was built on the campus of Tehran University as part of the Tehran Nuclear Research Center (TNRC).
Fuel: The U.S. supplied highly enriched uranium (93% weapons-grade) to fuel the reactor.
Education & Training: Along with the hardware, the U.S. supplied specialized training for Iranian nuclear scientists, including programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). [1, 2, 3, 4]
At the time, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (the Shah of Iran) was a close U.S. ally, and his ambitions to build a massive civilian nuclear power network were actively supported and encouraged by the West. You can read more about this history in the NPR coverage or view the TRT World breakdown of the early agreements. [1, 2, 3]
Maybe I am just trying to brainwash you into buying electric cars. You should not take everything I say seriously. You should consider it for yourself and examine it carefully. Do gasoline cars emit particulates into the atmosphere? Does you breathe air? Does gasoline particulates entering your lungs cause you harm? Does smoke from Canada cause you harm in your lungs? Will buying an electric car, that is faster than other gasoline cars, create no particulate pollution? Should America move to a nuclear or solar powered energy dynamic or should we continue to “Drill, Baby, Drill?”
Only when our lungs are incapable of breathing correctly do we realize that the environment ought to change.
200K acres are now burning in Oregon.
Maybe the chain of causality is not the way I see it.
Oil Drilling → Gasoline Consumption → Heating Climate → Dry Tinder → Wildfires.
Maybe that’s not how it is. Maybe the climate is perfectly normal and it’s a conspiracy theory in my head. You the reader and your lungs should examine what I say very carefully.
And yet, notice that the Congress or the Senate will not do anything. That in essence is how fucked we are as a country let alone a democratic republic.
Come on! Do you really want NASCAR to drive electric? We need red blooded car drivers over here. None of this pussy climate change bullshit. No tree huggers required. We can breathe just fine. Winter will be here and no more fires. Before that tornado and hurricane alley but winter will be here soon. Winter is coming!
Apparently engaged sessions are at 258 while sessions are at 307. Does 307 spell COG? I am just a cog in a machine? A pawn in chess?
