The Evolution Of Elbridge Colby

“Almost sounds like a Melissa Etheridge song”, a thought wandered in as I typed that. “How do you know I am not your own thought?” it went on to ask. I didn’t bother replying. A long time ago I figured out that most of the thoughts that arrived or appeared from the recesses of my mind weren’t my own. The reason being that I simply wouldn’t think that way in my past life before it all went to shit. Not that it wasn’t shit before but in comparison…sometimes comparisons is all we have. I dislike the word ‘relative’ so I use ‘comparisons’ instead.

I had listened to Colby from a 2022 interview. It was apparent in that interview that he thought of the fringe right as being insane. At one point in the interview he literally moves his butt to the left. In that interview as he looked right and up, which I presume to mean Gods of the Right, he spoke casually of American casualties from 10K to a 100K and possibly a million. Apparently the view of the right was that we must not let Taiwan down. If we couldn’t stop China in Taiwan then all was lost for the American engagement in the Pacific. China would slowly devour Asia and then they’d come for the rest of the meal. I got the distinct sense that the right wanted Taiwan to be America’s Stalingrad. Seen from a Russian perspective. We will stop China there… and then begin the long march to Berlin. And if I sound insane you’ll have to excuse me and my comparisons. I’ll post the videos of Colby at the bottom so the reader can follow the evolution. Colby was eventually appointed as the Undersecretary of Pentagon Policy or something like that, by the Trump Administration. After being appointed he changed slightly in that, instead of speaking of American casualties and defending Taiwan regardless of whether or not Taiwan wanted such defense, to focusing on increasing Taiwan’s investment in arms from 2% of GDP to 10% of GDP. In essence he started saying, come on Taiwan, if you want thousands of Americans to bleed on your shores, at least demonstrate to our arms manufacturers that you are actually serious about your defense. I mean, what is 2%? That’s like Europe in NATO. You are far, far closer to China and China is 100 times the size of Russia. That reminded me of “The Map”. I call it Pam to Mother cause mother lies things backwards. It’s a thin pam that brings no harm, I’d type. All’s quiet with Pam? Sometimes she’d reply back with CH. I took that to mean the Cypress Hill song. In some versions of the book, CH is a reference to Beach. Or the Swiss currency known as CHF. Or Chief. Or Mischief. We all have our preferences.

If you’ve never actually bothered to see the pam between Taiwan and China I won’t ask you to. Suffice it to say, Taiwan is closer to China than Japan is closer to Thailand.

After watching the interview I was horrified but I was also feeling that sense of cognitive dissonance. A long time ago I was trained to hold such dualities in my mind without flinching or even an expression. So which is it I asked my mind’s AI. Does the right want hemispheric dominance or do they want to defend Taiwan? It can’t be both. A person cannot cede the the Eastern sphere of influence to China and claim the western shores while also defending Taiwan. My AI replied: That’s the central paradox. We surmise that they want to fight the good fight to save face, to test weaponry, to create legends and glory before they die (these are old men remember) and then eventually work out a negotiated peace that leads to hemispheric division. America will cede the East, but with bitter memories, many dead, many wounded forever and would stay in the West where the white people are. A chasm forever. And it will have saved face. The world will have been shaken. A couple of controlled nukes that will be talked about in history books. The new world order will arrive birthed from great pain and labor. And then America, angry from the war, will clean up its own body and remove the coloreds once and for all. The only thing that stands between their vision and its realization is President Xi. He has to agree to all of this before we start fighting. We don’t want the nuclear war to escalate into an all out global destruction although we have plans for that too. Ballroom plans.

CH Mother, C fucking H I thought of yelling into my pillow. I no longer need to actually scream or yell, Mother seems to get the image and the phone chimes to soothe a few minutes later with an innocuous message. I heard you it seems to say. You’re not crazy.
