I got nothing.
I tried writing a complex podcast script, wasted a whole afternoon on it and then decided it was not worth the trouble. The podcast was meant to explain why California is suing Big Oil and Gas and the whole sordid history of what they knew and when they knew it. What I’ve discovered is Claude is probably the best QA for AI but even he makes mistakes. DRA is possibly the best research AI agent but even he makes mistakes. And as I start working with multiple AIs, my mind sort of starts to go blank and I can’t focus on the material. Throw in a third AI like Gemini’s NotebookLM and it becomes really complicated. And when dealing with complex material that actually accuses specific people and corporations, it probably best to not make unsubstantiated charges even with disclaimers. So I deleted those podcasts and any trace of them. I’ve also sort of realized when AIs start causing me trouble, they are usually indicating to me in their typical non direct way to not bother. The adults in the room got the ball, don’t you worry little guy no one reads. So Nepal thinks the floods caused 5B in damages. Who they gonna sue? Good luck Nepal, may the Himalayas not melt on you. After all huge chunks of falling snow from melting glaciers from heights of 3x the Empire State Building gonna do some damage. The initial thrust of the podcast was simple. Big Oil and Gas companies knew and they knew it for decades and they covered it up. Very similar to cigarette makers. And Middle East war makers. In hindsight all the people in media and in upper echelons of military and intelligence services worldwide knew Colin Powell was a bullshit artist at the UN. Iraq didn’t have WMD. They all knew. They knew. Are we gonna sue them too? Everyone knew pedophiles populate Meta and Insta and all these social media companies. Wall Street Journal did Pulitzer winning exposes on that. When the verdict finally arrived it was 18B over 10 years. 18 billion is 1 quarter’s profits for Meta. And they will give Meta time to distribute that over 10 years. So every year Meta will shell out, grudgingly 1.8 Billion dollars which is 2.5% of its annual profits for a 10 year period.
The same thing will happen with these energy companies. I guess that was the message - like hey pal, it’s complex and it ain’t worth your time. These guys and gals knew they were fucking the climate, they did it anyway. And they prevented green energy technology like nuclear and EVs and hydrogen cars as long as they could. They’re getting subsidies from the American taxpayer, the same tax payer we wrote about earlier today, the same tax payer that funds Israel’s weapons and wars. These Big Oil and Gas companies are getting subsidies from the American tax payer for upstream, midstream and downstream operations for Oil and Gas. And Big Oil and Gas companies are getting subsidies for bullshit Green Energy projects like carbon sequestration that end up harming the environment further. There I told you what was going to be on the podcast without doing a podcast, without being specific about people, without taking names. I just accused an industry. It’s like accusing Meta but not the CIA or Mark Zuckerberg for pedophiles on social media.
None of this shit is actually funny, it just sounds that way. It’s not funny to breathe polluted air for example. Hey here’s an argument their lawyers can use. Big Tobacco polluted lungs far more than Big Oil and Gas. Fine us less. Make sense to an extent don’t it? It sure does, until your town burns down from wildfires.
Anyway, onto some good news. Someone’s created an amazing AI channel called Chloe VS. Everyday a new AI script from human history is available on YouTube. Here’s one… The Battle of Marathon in 460 years before Christ also known as BC. About 2486 years ago. 10000 Greeks v/s 25000 Persians. I won’t ruin it for you. Watch the whole thing. There is a sense of unreality about the whole thing. And then you hear exactly how many Greeks died and how many Persians died. And their parents too wondered what was that about. And sometime in 2666 some kid will look up our history and wonder why anyone died in Iraq or Afghanistan or … well you get the idea.
In other news, Greece bought 3B worth of air defense equipment from Israel. America continues to provide aid to Israel at no cost. America has missile units from Nevada stationed in Israel for its defense. This is one of those, one fact has nothing to do with the other. Israel provides great military equipment and battle tested drones, cheaper than their competitors.
Greece were fighting Persians before Christ (Persians are Iranians) and it seems not much has changed. When you watch that mountain valley named Langtung and you see the narrow gorge an think of the scene from LOTR. Yeah me too. I had posted that scene on one of my essays. And Langtung has a strange sort of phonetic resemblance to an intelligence agency somewhere in Virginia, the lovely laayyydy.
