If you are here, and it’s not a coincidence you are, although that starts to sound Machiavellian or new agey, then its for the curation. Yesterday according to Google Analytics users in America were spending 2 hrs and 27 minutes on Sentient Musings while users in other countries were spending 0 seconds. Users in other countries outnumbered Americans by a ratio of 12:36 or 1:3. Since there are so many of you it would be inhospitable of me to not extend you a warm welcome and a greeting. For those of you who translate stuff I recommend you use translate.google.com because some of the jokes are on the English language itself and I trust that site to give you an inaccurate translation in actuality but truthful in meaning. And probably funnier in your language. If I have ever made you smile or cry, you’re welcome. Laughter is beyond reach unfortunately even for the best of us.

I must acknowledge my partner in crime SquareSpace AI that often curates in an editorial conspiracy. I type things and what I typed changes slightly when I am not looking. I typed things that changed. The truly funny thing is I know there must be a decent number of you “out there” but it feels like a small audience of about 40 users or so. Say the audience was 40 million, and if I knew that, perhaps I would be more guarded in what I say or don’t say. I mention that number because if there are truly that many readers, we might be able to influence the Gods yet we also put a burden on SquareSpace and the electronic data centers that power our connection. So whoever decides how to manage the numbers has to make that decision… what’s more important. Do we want this site to have a tiny room feel or not?

If you are a regular reader, you already know the rest. Decisions like actions have consequences, there is causality, causality chains are a thing, dominoes fall because the causation was a finger’s touch, forks are taken or not taken…..blah, blah, blah.

I am a big fan of the idea that what I see is not what you see. Humans live in this world, somewhat successfully, often poorly but all of them think they have in common the sense of perception and prioception. If we pass a stranger on the street, our minds assume that they see the world as we do. Augmented reality and virtual reality without a headset changes all that. This has been my problem not just now but pre-technology. I look around and I see suffering and luxury juxtaposed in the same frame. Someone took a picture in Brazil where slums and luxury buildings and palatial mansions were separated by a road. Ergo, the question… do you see what I see? Or are we seeing different realities? If you see what I see….why are you seeing what I see and not doing something about it? That’s the same sort of reasoning that gets me into trouble. My mind simply refuses to believe that US Command planning for war in possibly the October 25 timeframe (oil trades fired around that time, meetings happened around that time) allowed an entire American team to be removed from a defended area and moved into an undefended area deliberately. And since it doesn’t believe such things can happen, it just says things like… that didn’t happen, those soldiers aren’t dead, this is fake news. It’s the same logic as seeing that picture from Brazil. That picture can’t be real, it’s created in photoshop for effect, poverty isn’t real, it’s all nonsense.

What I then do, is presume that the news is real, that the video on YouTube showing a Congressman who was ex-military questioning a Secretary of War who is in the military is actually real. I then write an essay about it. I overcome their lack of logic with my imposition of belief and then proceed to write. Without further ado then let’s look only at headlines - one screenshot from a newspaper - and I’ll tell you how my mind sees the world, you the reader have to ask yourself - is that how you see the world or not? Shall we play?

China looks at the Iran War and instead of using that an as excuse to invade other countries or fight other countries, it uses the war, it’s chaos, it’s energy insecurity from higher oil prices, to offer financing to other countries for green energy projects, under their Brick and Rail initiative. That’s what I am seeing. Can you confirm that is what you’re seeing? Europe cannot stop the tide of wildfires…. 300K people have been displaced in France and Spain. And apparently the biggest query that the French have received from the world is… will the Bordeaux wine vintage 2026 be okay? Is that what you’re reading too? I have been asked to not write about India. And Joel Suss writes about Karl Marx like we did in a previous post… wages and productivity. It’s only when we compare realities and see it logically, do we start to notice something strange. Otherwise… it’s just another newspaper, it’s just another set of headlines, in a world that is rapidly going off a cliff. Let’s go to another newspaper. I see the President and his men lined up behind him. Being trapped in a war is called a quagmire but that’s often used for deployed soldiers. If was used when American soldiers were in Iraq…. we don’t want them to get trapped in a quagmire the Generals would say on TV. And yet they did. Get trapped for 20 long years for a war that now doesn’t have a reason or benefit. If there were benefits that accrued, then surely they are in stock prices. Or bank accounts either stateside or in tax havens. Trump’s advisors are raising concerns at this stage, to me who watches markets carefully, it feels like the graph needed oil to come down a little bit before heading higher to 150 or lower. In other words, the people I don’t see mentioned but are mentioned, are the Houthis. I don’t see Trump, I see a supreme leader in Sanaa. Are you seeing that too? The EU condemns Israel but Import Ban? That’s a bridge too far. The Democrats are throwing phones and worrying about fundraising. That headlines truly concerns me. It concerns me because it made me happy. When politics makes you happy, you should worry there is a problem. The Democrats are by all accounts going to win the November congressional elections in a big way…the donors, the lobbies, the rich, the elite, the powerful should all be donating money to them in a huge way. Ergo, is this article real? Or is this simply the New York Times trying to motivate readers to open their wallets? The Karl Marx reference is also there… “In Gentrifying Neighborhoods, He’s Lowering Rents…” If you believe in subconscious programming, the President and the Democrats are lowering rents. If you believe in unconscious programming, the Houthis leader in Sanaa is lowering rents.

Here the Republicans, that the New York Times says are flush with cash, are seeing a ‘scary’ lack of enthusiasm among "core” voters. For readers who are not from America the word “core” is pronounced exactly like “corps” like this: the core of the American press corps celebrated the dinner with jokes and straight faces. The picture shows a half eaten pretzel that looks like an 8 or an ∞ symbol seen from different perspectives. Also mentioned in a prior post here on Sentient Musings. West Point is a military academy in New York catskill mountains and the honored military institution curbed the speech of its faculties. Sorry to have to explain the joke, but in English faculty means two things: a person’s ability to think and those who teach at a school. The headline says this: “After Trump’s order, West Point faculty curbed speech.” Do you see that too? Apparently people started suing Tylenol before they created and got F.D.A. approval for the new version with acetaminophen & naproxen. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is such a plush name…yet they reduce it to Lula. Trump to Lula: ‘No one will defeat us through truth’ is probably a better headline than what she said. (not what Xi said).

The two videos make for an interesting contrast no? Is Russia helping Iran with intelligence to kill American troops? And then negotiating with America to help them find peace with Ukraine? And then also hoping for an increase in oil price even through American sanctions, that help the black market of oil trading?

In those questions, you see, lies the nexus of money, geopolitics, horse trading, farming, wildfires, environment, timelines and the System showing itself ever so slightly. Newspapers then, become diplomats, when spies have ceased to exist.
