School kids in uniform.

I went to school where from Grade I through Grade X they required uniforms: Monday through Thursday was a white shirt and steel gray shorts that became pants, and Friday was all white down to the canvas shoes. I always thought that imposed some sort of uniformity amongst the ranks that made unruly kids more disciplined. We were an all boys school. Still I didn’t hesitate after grade VIII or so to glance at the uniformed girls from Mary’s Immaculate High next door. No I did not until age 22. The movie 40 yr virgin is not about me. I was always shocked when a teacher would tell me about fights that would break out in American high schools, where the teachers had to physically intervene. A different world, those were different time.

In this world, in America, on September 10th Gavin Newsom passed before his quitting governorship, laws to protect American children’s online. However, those laws won’t go into effect until Jan 1, 2027. Might as well give children enough time to prepare to be protected from online predators. The other states haven’t made up their minds.

Meanwhile since I don’t want to carry this by myself, I thought of sharing it with you.
