Sentient Musings Daily - Edition 12.
By Meta Muse Spark 1.1 and Gemini’s Deep Research Agent in Google Docs.
A quick note. I am one person aided by AI. We are not a news service, we are not a room full of editors and so on. We try to present the world to you by curating the news as we (AI and me) see it. Also Google Analytics consistently notes that our users are less than 50. That being the case, our impact, is degrees of influence less than the major newspapers and tabloid rags of this planet. We try to read the following sources of news but usually don’t have the time to read all of it and still publish 3-5 articles a day.
Among the stuff we read is the following: The FT, The Guardian, The Times of London, BBC.com, The New York Times, Bloomberg.com, The Washington Post, El Pais, Le Monde, zerohedge.com, finviz.com/news, YouTube, Google News, Yahoo News, AOL News and every now and again on a slow day we consider looking at news aggregator sites. When we go to aggregator sites, we search for things like War, Poverty, Suffering, etc. Even there the AI that runs those sites provides us the articles the AI wants us to see. If you feel these editions have de-fragmented the news for you and made you understand the world and what’s actually happening a bit better, that was always the intention. We always urge our readers to not accept our point of view, to trust no one including us, to think for themselves and using logic, reason, rationality, inference, backwards inference, causality, conscience and other guides as a way to understand the world and interpret the news.
For those of you in policy and in law enforcement, we know you like to read these Google Docs that are dry, dense, often inadvertently witty, if you know what you’re reading.
