The Spearman and Heidegger.

I suppose such a conversation might sound sacrilegious to a certain type of philosophy student or an intellectual. This blog doesn’t pretend to be an avant guard art form like some of you suspect it is. We know who you are. You are the ones who try to present patterns found in the YouTube videos from post to spot. “Look at every third video on this stupid website” for example. That’s so filthy… like totally.

We read even the subtext of your subtexts. We find you fascinating. We think you are the art form.

Anyway, Heidegger wrote something very abstruse about the Past, Present and Future. He preferred to write without nouns, as if his including nouns would hurt his children. The gist of the paragraph in question was this: The Past refuses and therefore the Present Arrives. The Future withholds and therefore the Present stays. For those of you who don’t grasp even those two rather simple sentences how could you read Heidegger? Everything hinges around two verbs: “to refuse” and “to withhold”. One is active, the other is passive aggressive. A woman declining sex is withholding. A man declining sex is refusing. In both cases, each sex has something that they can provide or withhold. That’s all it means… instead look at how Heidegger wrote it:

What has been, which, by refusing the present, let’s that become present which is no longer present; and that the coming towards us of what is to come, which, by withholding the present, let’s that be present which is not yet present—both [make] manifest the manner of an extending opening up which gives all presencing into the open.

That’s what she said.

If you were to separate yourself for the time being from the obvious sexual implication of the text, and look at the sense of time for what it is: Past, Present and Future and realize that there is a certain visceral truth to the idea: The past can be a barren terrain, not worth revisiting. That implies that you are allowed only the Present and the Future. And if Timelines are denied to a person then the future may not be barren but it cannot be seen or imagined. In that case, the only thing left is the Present. And when a person lives only for the Present and only in the Present … there is a certain style of writing that is emergent from that. That may be why you spend 2 hours and 15 minutes on this website that is simply a collection of essays.

There is a certain section among you intelligentsia that arrives every so often and praises me for the writing and compares me to Trump’s non writing. So I figured I would open Page 47 of the only Marx book I have. Here’s what she wrote.

To sum up: the more productive capital grows, the more it extends the division of labour and the application of machinery; the more the division of labour and the application of machinery extend, the more does competition extend among workers, the more do their wages shrink together.

Less abstruse, I suppose, than Heidegger. I would have said simply… increasing productivity implies shrinking wages. I would have let you try and figure out why. I mean if we are discussing philosophers, then the presumption is you’ve reached a certain capability in terms of your ability to think for yourself without trusting either me or Marx.

The saving grace I suppose is that Finance is naked about its intentions. Hiding under the patriotic American Flag while showing an empty factory with only a few workers…. And yet you felt good seeing that image… admit it. You said to yourself… fucking Hoooah America that’s what I am talking about. Yeahhh.. look at those strong motherfuckers… all 7 of them. Don’t eat that everyday. That’s lunch, dinner and breakfast. Here’s the funny thing about enriched carbs - because they’re empty calories, after eating it we’ll feel hungrier. And won’t be able to stop at eating just one third of that portion. Try it. I won’t be able to stop. Guaranteed. That’s the trick. And since I ate one full hero of empty enriched flour… I will get swelling on the face and throughout the body. These things are only noticed when you have a zero fat body or a very low fat physique. Presumably “The Right” is the same as “Republicans” and “Liberals” are some version of “Left Room For” or “Democrats”. It’s not very clear. I have discovered to my great sorrow that words have to be understood and parsed carefully. The definitions have to be clear otherwise it’s a slippery slope of hope and angst later.

Anyway, the book goes on to say that even though Democrat politicians, especially in California passed a lot of bills to encourage housing, the riders they attached to the bills ensured that the builders would find it impossible to build more.
The equivalent is this: Here’s some cake… ooops sorry, you have to buy some seaweed… no you can’t buy the seaweed from H-Mart, it has to be fresh sea weed from the Mariana Trench.

In essence, neither side is looking to solve the housing problem, one side is willing to pretend they are. The other side, straight up says… we don’t care about Americans.

The drone could sometimes be seen from above but not from below because it was painted the color of the sky. The Y-11 therefore had to be higher in altitude.
