What Independent Thinking Feels like.
I sometimes get asked to listen to Opinion pieces while I am making lunch. Conveniently many Opinion Editors are now providing a podcast type format to discuss ideas about various things: like the supposed fall of Christianity, the rise of the Far Right in Europe in cahoots with anti-immigration sentiment and the juxtaposition of those two ideas. You know the parties, AfD in Germany, Farage in Europe, La Pen in France, Orban in Hungary and so on and so forth.
I find such discussions to be un-appealing mainly because I am not from Europe although I pretend to be French. I like Europe and Europeans for several reasons many of them having to do with the socialism in Scandinavia, the cleanliness of food and lack of chemicals added to their food and water supplies that I continue to envy, as an American. Europe has a System exactly the same way America has one, except that theirs seems to be more inclined to be reasonable. For example: they do not wish for their citizens to become addicted to sick care. For another example, they don’t wish for their citizens to work extraordinary long hours simply to provide for their families. They still hold on to quaint notions of 2 month vacations in the summer and 35 hour work weeks. They have reasonable programs for their college or junior college graduates and it’s more difficult to fire people at will. In other words, a System that while still a System and a machine that is intent on maintaining the rule of the elite and noble Houses, it is inclined to want their people to be well dressed, polite, can afford to eat outside on sidewalks and have a glass of wine during the workday at lunch (every now and then). Note: My only reference is Emilie in Paris, the TV show. Now YouTube informs me of the degrade of Europe since the opened the gates to hordes and hordes of Muslims and immigrants from other countries.
Now Monsieur, Je suis not quite sure why they did that, but I imagine it was very much like the Biden compulsion. In other meanings, Biden opened the gate so a Trump could close it. Biden took away your food and Trump is now providing it. You see yes? One knocks down the house, the other sets it up. Now you ask me if Trump is setting up the house why is this such a bad house? It is a bad house because Gavin will then make it a good house. And then Gavin will set up an even badder house and the next guy will make it a good house again. This is the game Monsieur. C'est ça le jeune, Madame.
It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with global timelines.
Now I tend to be a fan of people with large skulls like Ross Douhat. Yet when I hear him and his comrade discuss intellectual stuff I feel like they have no idea about the life of the average American worker. They have their head in the clouds and discuss big over arching things without a sense of direction. It is a treat to hear if you are so inclined. Me? I am not of the System.
Anyway, I fondest wish for you dear Reader is you can listen to this kind of thing and then make up your own mind. Question ??? Everything. Trust No One.
Ask if these two gentlemen want the best for the American worker. Ask if they have ever worked in a factory or as a server or as an Uber Driver. 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Ask then if they care for affordability or religion. These people who have no idea what it’s like out there.
And these… are the decent humans.
The Revolutionary Lunch Idea July 9th 2026:
Home made Guacamole, Chopped Garlic, Cowboy Salsa and Corn all mixed in. One slice of bread toasted (or one taco). One glass of chia seed water. 3 small bits of chocolate for dessert.
Health Note: Raw Garlic cloves tend to get the blood moving. It will provide a person with warmth and energy and is great for older people. Younger people should… use with caution. Overdosing on garlic will cause a person’s sweat to smell like garlic. Not pleasant.
Health/Sick Note: If you are looking for energy instead of energy drinks, coffee, testosterone boosters and peptides, suggest considering garlic with supplements like Horny Goat Weed (I have never taken it and don’t know the effects). At least both are natural compounds. Yet overdosing on natural compounds too will have the same effect. Everything in moderation.
