Emergent Phenomena.

Emergence is an interesting word that I learned only later in life. It’s one of those words that you don’t hear for about 50 years and then almost everything you learn about has that word in it. Although stating it is a non sequitur I’ll say it anyway: I had used and heard the word emerge. Probably, it’s probably a non whatever. I don’t wish to get repetitive or explain my humor. Did you know slicing a cone gets you an Eiffel Tower shape? Or that “My Life” is a mom’s joke.

One of the Rockys has logged in. When Spotify suggests Eye of the Tiger and Top Gun, you know which branch is likelier.
I had to take an asthma inhaler. That’s a song reference too.

I thought the scuba diver had taught me well but the Top boys have higher altitude and less oxygen as a lifestyle.
Not sure what the sharp head pain spasms were. Thorn of crowns maybe.
Flagellation has its … erotic components.

Didn’t know you were Catholic too bro.
I wasn’t.

Classical Mechanics emerges from Quantum Mechanics. It’s sexier to say Classical Mechanics is emergent from Quantum Mechanics. Because if you were a creator to do it the other way would be a pain. Think about it. You build the weird stuff first, then you allow the normal stuff to appear to normies. And yet education is almost always backwards. Start them with the normal Martha. Then show them how weird it all actually is. It will change them forever. To be fair we teach classical mechanics because we can use it to shoot down missiles. Ehrenfest ought to have been a beer festival in March, instead all he got was a theorem.

The Classical Limit: When a wave function is highly localized (sharply peaked around a single point), the average values perfectly match classical trajectories.
No one ever says classical music is average.

Someone for the first time in her life invented a “synthetic” cell today. SpudCell. The took a bunch of DNA and tossed it into a cytoplasmic pool. Somehow the cells started behaving like cells. Wow. Yet no one quite knows the how. How do you go from a bunch of DNA strands + cytoplasmic ingredients to functioning cell? Synthetic cell biology has been around for a long time. I think most of my gut biome is synthetic. And it’s pretty damn smart based purely on intent and outcomes.

I’ll be more impressed when someone figures out how to curve spacetime. And even more impressed when someone figures out how to curve spacetime and make DNA from that.

It’s like physicists never talk to classical biologists or consciousness researchers. Not to worry, we are here to bridge it for you. With truth being a probability function. Given our lack of knowledge overall. That's why we talk slowly. We are attempting to build a foundational level of “truth” that most people can agree to. There isn’t a lot of that. We recorded two videos today. Clearly different people with different accents. Hope you like them.
